ADVICE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF YOUR SCRUBBER
Scrubbers contain many delicate spare parts and components, so we must carry out an adequate maintenance in order to keep working at optimum performance. By doing this, we will increase your scrubber's useful life and you will save repair costs. Before carrying out maintenance tasks, we must read the machine's manual. It should contain a section with specific machine maintenance requirements.
Water tanks:
Recovery or dirty water tank must be emptied and washed out. It is also important to clean the filters and leave the covers open so they can dry up.
Solution or clean water tank must also be emptied. Filters will shrink if we leave the solution in the filter, and this will affect the machine's performance. Water used must be filtered and we must use foam control detergents.
Brush maintenance:
Scrubber brushes attract huge amounts of dirt, and so they must be cleaned and washed out regularly. If the brushes are dirty, the machine's performance will diminish with time.
Squegee maintenance:
Dirt will accumulate around the squeegee's if we don't clean them frequently and after every use before dirt gets dry. If they get too dirty, anti-esthetic lines will appear once the machine is working the floors.
Batteries maintenance:
Scrubber batteries must be checked up several times a month. When the battery starts to fail, you can refill it with distilled water during the charging cycle. You should constantly monitor the water level, since if it spills over the acid will ruin your floor.
Spare parts:
We must only use original spare parts, and only the maintenance spare parts must be changed by the operator. The rest of spare parts must be trusted to technicians specialized in repairing cleaning machines.
Maintenance plan prepairing:
Once we know the different maintenance tasks we must carry out for our scrubbers to constantly offer the best performance, it is time to prepare the maintenance plan in order to make sure that the tasks are carried out and ensure time optimization.
